This Privacy Policy is intended to help you understand what data we collect, why, and what we do with it. The privacy policy also explains your rights regarding your personal information. Our Digital Platforms generally allow you to:
• Search and book various plans for medical or disease consultations, follow-up for chronic diseases, obtain certificates of good health, perform a general medical examination, couples counseling, life coaching, obtain a medical referral, book preventives, follow-ups or home visits, medical emergencies, and other suture services, Inhalotherapy, medical device changes, emergency and medical urgency.
As explained in more detail below:

• We use your information to understand what medical treatments or products you may be interested in and therefore offer you relevant products and solutions;

Any personal information you provide to us will be stored on servers located in the United States and may be shared with our subsidiaries. Rest assured: all members of the MEcare4U group. Our companies are committed to protecting your personal information.
For the purposes of any applicable data privacy law, the data controller is MEcare4U of Panama. That entity determines how and for what purposes we use your personal information.
To the extent that any service offered through our Digital Platforms relates to sensitive personal information, by clicking "ACCEPT" and using the Digital Platforms, you agree to our processing of that sensitive personal information.
“Sensitive personal information” includes information about a person's racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or similar beliefs, trade union membership, physical or mental health or condition or sexual life, genetic or biometric identifiers, or about the commissions or procedures of any offense committed or alleged to have been committed by that person, the disposition of such proceedings or the judgment of any court in such proceedings.
"Processing" means using or touching information in any way, including the collection, storage, deletion, use, combination and disclosure of information, all of which are activities that may take place outside the Panamanian Economic Area, your personal information will be transferred to the United States of America, and will be processed and stored there. The United States of America may not have standards equivalent to Panama's data privacy standards. However, we will transfer your personal information in accordance with applicable data privacy laws.

1. WHAT TYPES OF INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
MEcare4U collects and processes: information that you provide to MEcare4U; and information created when you use the Digital Platforms, set up and manage your MEcare4U account; request or use services through the Digital Platforms; and contact MEcare4U customer service. This information may include your name (first name, middle name, last name, nickname and suffix), email, gender, country, phone number, date of birth, password, answers to security questions, address (street/postal, apartment /unit, city, state, zip code and country), membership type(s), ID or passport, information of any family members, dietary requirements, meal preferences, medical details, banking and payment information, payment details emergency contact (relationship, first name, last name, telephone number, nationality, date of birth and country/state citizenship), enrollment date, plan details, photographs and whether you have opted in to receive marketing communications. All this information is mandatory to use the Digital Platforms. If you choose not to provide this information, you may not have access to some or all of the features of our Digital Platforms.
We also collect: MEcare4U may collect information about those messages, including the date, time and content of the message; cookies and other tracking technologies: when you visit the Digital Platforms and use our services, which allows us to identify you, for example, when you book medical plans or other types of services we offer on our Digital Platforms, log in to your account, wherever you wish allows us to identify your membership program(s) and where we need to remember your preferences and location data (when you install and use our mobile applications), to provide you with the best medical service and to allow you to request services at your exact location (whether virtual, our clinics, your home or emergency location), we may collect your precise or approximate location through data collected from Wi-Fi, GPS and IP address. Location services are optional, you can "turn off" location services from the Digital Platforms or through your device's permission settings (for example, you can choose to: (a) never allow access; (b) only allow access. access when using the Digital Platforms; or (c) allow access at all times). If you choose to "turn off" location services, you may not have access to some features of our Digital Platforms.
Your credit card details will be used to process your request for products or services but will not be shared with third parties not involved in the transaction.
2. COOKIES AND OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
Data from cookies and other technologies to collect information on the Digital Platforms for various purposes, such as improving the design and content of our Digital Platforms and allowing us to provide a more personalized experience. Most industry standard websites have an option that allows you to disable all cookies or have your computer inform you each time a request is made to place a cookie. If you disable cookies (or refuse to accept a request to place a cookie), you may not have access to some features of our Digital Platforms and some of our services, such as purchasing a service or being automatically recognized as part of our members. .
When we communicate with you via email, we may use a variety of technologies, such as “clear gifs” or “web beacons,” to let us know, among other things, whether you received and opened our email. The clear gif included in the email may set a cookie on your system that allows us to personalize information to fit your personal interests.
3. HOW DO WE USE THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT?
MEcare4U uses the information it collects to provide you with the best medical plan and services.
• To manage your reservations with us and provide you with the products, services or membership benefits that you request when using the Digital Platforms, including providing services to your exact location when necessary or wherever you are located.
We need to use your personal information to provide you with our services when you need them most. For example, when you book a medical plan or illness consultations, we need your personal information to send you a booking confirmation, to manage changes to your booking, to send you invoices and process your payments, to check-in before we see you, and to keep track of you, provide you with benefits for our membership programs, provide you with further products, and services as needed (for example, when you book a clean bill of health or chronic disease tracking) or through the Digital Platforms (for example, the chat service offered through the Application).
• To improve the content of the Digital Platforms and improve your medical experience. The personal information we collect when you use our Digital Platforms helps us make sure our Digital Platforms work well (for example, this is so we know it's you when you log in to your account). We are always improving the design and content of our Digital Platforms to improve your medical experience, and the information about how you use our Digital Platforms helps us achieve this. We also use this information to help us understand the level of interest in the different sections of our Digital Platforms and the products and services we offer. We also use your information to make the booking process more convenient. (For example, we can remember what you searched for, so you can pick up where you left off.)
We also use your information to troubleshoot operational problems with the Digital Platforms, such as page crashes and software errors, and to maintain the security of the Digital Platforms.
• To personalize your MEcare4U account, including your preferred way of communication
When you register through the Digital Platforms or make a reservation, we create a unified Guest Account in our systems. If you have an existing MEcare4U account, such as a "My Personal Doctor" account or a "My Doctor" account, the next time you log in you will be prompted to migrate to a newer, bigger and better unified guest account. This is your digital profile which brings together the personal information we hold and identifies you across the MEcare4U group. When you migrate to your new Unified Guest Account, your existing MEcare4U account information will also be transferred.
Your profile allows us to provide you with a personalized experience when you search for our services, book, or contact us by phone or email. We also use your Unified Guest Account to personalize the marketing communications we send to you. Sometimes we also use your data to request feedback about our services.
• To process payments and billing.
When you make a reservation through the Digital Platforms (whether booking certain products or services, such as medical referrals), we will process your payment details to process the transaction.
• For marketing and promotional purposes, including providing you with information about the products and services offered by MEcare4U.
We use your contact details for our marketing and promotions, including to send you information about the products and services we and the MEcare4U group offer. We also use your personal information to tailor our marketing communications to make them more relevant to you and measure engagement with our marketing campaigns.
• To help you contact our customer services (whether through the Digital Platforms or otherwise), we will process your personal information to ensure that you receive the best possible customer service.
• To help you get a faster and more efficient healthcare solution.
Our mobile app offers a frictionless booking experience. We use your personal information, including your photographs, identification or passport information to provide you with this service.
4. ACCESS OF THIRD PARTIES TO INFORMATION OBTAINED BY DIGITAL PLATFORMS
Some of the services offered through the Digital Platforms mean that we share information with other entities in the MEcare4U group and our trusted service providers.
We may share your personal information:
• As required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena or similar legal process; and when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request.
We may need to share your personal information where required by the laws of the countries in which we operate. Law enforcement agencies may also require access to personal information, or we may be ordered by a court or in connection with legal proceedings to disclose personal information.
• We need to share your personal data with our third party payment providers to process your card payments.
• With entities within the MEcare4U group, which means our subsidiaries and affiliates from time to time to assist us in providing the services offered through the Digital Platforms. We are a global company and we need to share your personal data with other companies in our group to enable us to offer you the widest range of medical help or services where we operate around the world.
• With other users of the Digital Platforms at your request, for example, when you use the chat services offered through the website. Please note that in the event MEcare4U is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of all or a portion of its assets, you will be notified via email and/or a prominent notice on our Digital Platforms of any change in ownership, or uses of this information, as well as any choices you may have regarding this information.
5. DATA CONSERVATION AND EXCLUSION POLICY
We will retain your personal information while you use the Digital Platforms/Website and for a reasonable time thereafter or for a period permitted or required by applicable laws. If you wish to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information please contact us at doctor@mecare4u.com and we will respond as soon as possible. Please note that we may be required by law to retain certain information. We may contact you for marketing purposes, including to provide you with more information about our services, share news, or inform you about promotions from time to time. We will only send you marketing messages if you have opted in and you can update your preferences. You can unsubscribe at any time via the preference centre, following the links in our emails or by emailing us at doctor@mecare4u.com. Even if you have opted out of receiving marketing messages, we will still need to contact you in relation to your bookings with us.
6. CHILDREN
The Digital Platforms seek to promote our services for sale and we do not have any age limitations in any of our health care programs. MEcare4U does not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 18 without consent. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that their child has provided us with information without their consent, they should contact us at doctor@mecare4u.com. We will delete such information from our servers.
7. LINKS AND THIRD PARTIES
Our Digital Platforms may provide links to websites or other digital tools that we think you may find useful. These links will take you to websites or digital tools operated by third parties that operate under different privacy policies. We encourage you to review those privacy policies as we have no control over the information you may submit. Our Digital Platforms may also use third parties, such as ad serving companies, to serve or display advertisements to you. Our websites may also include advertisements placed by third parties.
8. SECURITY
We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the information we process and maintain. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. The security of all personal information is extremely important to us. We limit access to personal information to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information in order to operate, develop, provide services offered through the Digital Platforms or improve them. Please note that, although we strive to provide security for the information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all possible security breaches so when using our Digital Platforms you do so at your own risk. When receiving your information, we strive to ensure security on our systems.
9. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically for any reason. We will notify you of any changes within the Digital Platforms. In the event of a material change to this Privacy Policy, you will be notified from the Digital Platforms and asked to "ACCEPT" to provide your consent, where applicable, to the new Privacy Policy.
